We Don't Let the Dust Settle

Apparently, we must continue to start new home projects before others have been finished.

For example: We started the shed. Then we started the bathroom. Before the bathroom was done, we started the hallway. Before the shed was done, we worked on the fence. Before the hallway was done, we decided to start on the front porch.

It's a nice little closed in porch. (Note: this is the ripped up picture, not the nice little picture) We have some chairs, a table, and our hammock out there. The cats love it, we love it. But it wasn't built very well. It leaks. A lot. So we ripped down the paneling, threw away the old carpet and got to work.

Lots of caulking was done. More could still be put in. Most of the new paneling is on, the carpet is purchased and now it is just waiting to be painted. Theoretically, I will work on that part today. Then we can lay the new carpet and resettle in.

And it will be cozy again just in time for more good hammock-nap weather.

It'll look fabulous when it's done. :) And all cozy, snuggly too.

Your title is bang on! I believe it's best to keep going full steam ahead before you lose the motivation. Gets the most work done that way :)

James, I don't know. He just started tearing apart the back porch last night too...Right now we do have a deadline of less than a month so that helps.

Jean, I CANNOT wait! Maybe next week we can chill on the hammock...

Maki, that does seem to be the way it goes. Hopefully we can stop when we're done though. At least for like a month or so!
