If it weren't enough that I'm sick and hacking up all kinds of unfavorable items, there's a flood in my basement. Anyone adept at installing new hot water heaters?

Gaah! One of my least favorite things. A "wet-dry" Shop Vac works wonders on managing water; if you don't have one, WalMart does. And they're cheap.
Also, "Google." Step by step instructions just waiting to be found.
Hope you're able to get things squared away with a minimum of aggravation and expense.
If this had showed up yesterday, I could have volunteered our wet dry shop vac as it's sitting in the dryer. boo on blogger. Is the new addition to the home installed now?
big hugs to you and I hope you feel better really, really soon.. :)

Oh that sucks!
And you were on a roll there with your beautiful tree and new camera. I guess the universe just has to even it's self out huh?
Apparently it does, Carbon...phooey on the universe.
Hmmm RJ, I think I might have one of those...better go check.
I am sick too :(
My nose just won't stop running and the coughs keep coming.

Your shop vac is in the dryer? That's weird... But yes, a new one is installed and the basement is almost dry! Hooray!
Jen, I commisserate with you. Sure does suck. Blah.
Didn't you know that I use it to also suck all the extra water out of the clothes so they don't take as long in the dryer?
I didn't even realize i said that. I was thinking about getting the clothes out of the dryer for the new load.
you can hack up the unmentionables in the floodwater...I won't tell anyone.
Good call on that, Kassi...unfortunately, it's all dried up now. Of course, that is rather fortunate now. Hmm.
Blech! I hope you are feeling better soon, and your house is too!
Hey, Anne, I tagged you. Because you need something to take your mind off your basement, among other things! ;-)
