Ok Fine

I haven't used the treadmill once. Not one time.

I have read a lot of books. The stack I have to recommend to you is towering on my desk. Plus, I'm currently in the middle of at least two more.

The rooftop garden just got planted a couple days ago. Pictures will be forthcoming as soon as I see a sprout. Probably this weekend.

I have also gone to a lot of movies. Ocean's 13, Spiderman 3, Pirate's 3, Shrek 3, Evan Almighty. I thought they were all fabulous. I haven't previously gone to this many movie's in a year's time!

I have watched the first three seasons of The 4400 as well as the first two of Rescue Me. Not to mention all the movies I've seen from my couch.

My crowning joy for a day is if I get up the energy to make myself a smoothie.

We won't talk about the lack of cleaning and laundry and cooking that gets done around here. My husband is a saint.

I can usually get the plants watered. However, I often have to email my brother to ask him to. Turning on the faucet tires me right out.

Sometimes I'll take three naps in a day. For example: Get up around 9 or 10. Take a shower (or more likely just eat breakfast and forgo the shower for the day). Take a nap on the spare bed. Get up and have lunch. Read a book. Fall asleep on the couch while reading. Get up and snack. Nap out on the hammock. Watch tv. Eat dinner. Watch tv. Go to bed. Yep, that kind of day actually happens once or twice a week around here.

I eat a lot of snacks. Fruit snacks, granola bars, string cheese and especially crackers. It's pretty sweet, cuz I haven't gained an ounce so far. I eat all day long.

Really, that's all that's been going on around here. I don't usually have enough energy to blog. You're really lucky when I comment on yours. It's unbelievable that there are two for today.

I'm blaming it all on the baby in my belly. Silly baby. Making me all tired and sicky-feeling.

Lucky for me, there should only be another week or so of this tired sicky-ness.

Oh, ANNE! That is just so exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hahahah - I was reading this blog, and when I got to the "nap" paragraph, I was like, "Dude, she sounds pregnant!"

CONGRATS!!

CONGRATULATIONS!! I'm so happy for you! Don't worry, the tiredness doesn't usually last past the first trimester.

You're gonna be a great mom!

Congrats!!! That is fantastic news. I'm really happy for the two of you.

I think the first semester you're always tired because your body stores all that energy for the third trimester when you are all crazy busy nesting and cleaning. Weird shift of energy.

Your cleaning fairy will be visiting soon...

ANNE!!!!! YOU SLY LITTLE ONE! Slipping in that wee little announcement. SHEESH. AND, suuure, go and do it when I've been away for the weekend. I've been checking your blog COMPULSIVELY for the announcement so I could have a little party, and here now it's old news!

hehehehe. Oh, Anne, I'm SOOO teasing you.
WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!

Okay now...I'm reading this post and don't get more than 2 sentences in before I'm thinking "okay, when did I miss the announcement that she's pregnant!" Now I'm so relieved that I didn't miss something...that you really just are making it for the first time! I'm so excited for you! We're going to have little ones born around the same time! I may have to come see you! When are you due? I'll be in NY for 6-8 weeks after the first of the year since Brandon's deploying! Maybe I can make a trip over to MI to meet your little one! But you'll have the company of me and my 2 little ones, so maybe you'd want me to wait awhile!
You know...with the first one, the energy did come back after the first trimester...but this time...maybe it's just dealing with an energetic 3 year-old that makes me still have to take that 2 hour nap in the afternoon! Fortunately, she still takes one too!

Sarah, your instincts were right... ;)

Thanks, Andria! I really hope so. I'm ready for this yuck to go away!

Carbon, my hubby is totally ready for me to start nesting. I don't think he's such a big fan of having to keep the whole house up by himself. I'm just so useless right now!

Jean, you don't know how much I appreciate my cleaning fairy. I could never really tell you. But man, I can't wait until she pops over!

I intentionally waited until I knew you weren't looking, Hils. I'm mean like that. ;)

Becky, you can totally come! I would love to have you and your little ones visit us! I honestly can't fathom how you can make it through that first trimester while trying to take care of a preschooler!!

Thanks, Laura! I hadn't heard from you in a while! How is everything for you?

Hehe. Yep, that's you! Mean and nasty. SERIOUSLY, Anne, I'm soooo excited for you! Yipeee! And yes, I've been told, the tiredness doesn't last forever!

Pictures! Totally can't wait for PICTURES! *grin*

Anne! A baby?? Congrats! I was definitely thrown for a loop how you just snuck that in there at the end ;) So today I found out you were pregnant.. just yesterday I found out Scott & Megan are making me an uncle in January! Oh and Jeremy and Karen are having their second this fall. Everyone is jumpin on the bandwagon I guess ;)

Things are going well here. Work is keeping me pretty busy. Luke and I are planning a wedding for November 2008. Are you thinking of names? :)

Hils, I'm working on it. It's shameful the lack of pictures I have taken lately! SHAMEFUL!

Shawn...I have to dispute you a bit here. There is no bandwagon around my house...We waited a good six years before any silly procreating was done! :) But congrats on the Uncling!

Laura, we have briefly discussed it...but I'm waiting until we know what it is before really working it out. Wedding planning is SO fun! We definitely want to come out for that next year, too!

Wait! What? I missed! the baby! news. CONGRATULATIONS, Anne! Wow. Um, wow. I just can't get past the "baby in my belly" part. Yay! (Except for the sick and tired part, but still, YAY.)

Oh good...I'm glad this news is finally "out"...can't wait to hear when and how you found out you were preggo! My annoying preggo sense went off at the next-to-last DV:FX event, and was reconfirmed at Becky's shower, although there were a whole lotta preggo ladies in that room at the same time...

Um...the tired thing has not yet gone away for me. All I can say is sleep now, nap, sleep, rest, you will not get the "luxury" of sleep again for many, many years to come. Unless you hire a nanny...

Kerrianne...you didn't really miss it...I just figured I'd be sneaky and stick it in there at the end! :)

I don't know about the next-to-last DV event, Jenna...I don't think there was anything to have a sense about THAT far back! Maybe the last one though. I'd buy that! And oh, for a nanny...If I could just get that sister-in-law of mine to move back home, I'd be all set!

We shall see, Miss Anne...if baby F is born "a few weeks early" or your due date is moved up at your 20 week ultrasound, then I shall gloat that indeed my sensor was not incorrect at the next-to-last DV:FX event. My "sense" has also been telling me that you shall be glad you already have so much love for the color pink...but I have been wrong before on the gender thingy, so don't start painting anything yet!

So excited for you guys! And will start praying the sister-in-law back into town.

The cleaning fairy told me that she's been itching to get over there (and get out of her own castle) and thinks that tomorrow may work depending on what time your tour is. I'll relay your answer back if need be.

We are so excited for you! Our excitment has nothing to do with being the grandparents.... oh maybe just a little. Everyone we know has known for ages! or since father's day eve. The cute card anouncing your new little one is still on the mantle. We will only replace it with a picture of an ultrasound.HMMMMM. love grandma (alias mom)

So, uh, how would the cleaning fairy like an all-expense paid trip to Cincinnati Ohio for some cleaning fun??

Jean said...

Sarah, I think she would be all over it!! :) At least, that's what she told me...

Congratulations Anne!!!! I also thought that I missed an announcement, and went back through a bunch of old posts - until I was smart enough to finally click on the comments, and saw that everyone was just as surprised as I was!!!! How fabulous!

Details!

Girl! You. You...you're finally going to be able to call the guest bedroom the baby's room!

I'm so FLIPPIN excited! YEAH! Good thing Andy's already on Kitty litter duty.

Congratulations!
When you commented on my pudgy stage post recently, I came looking to see if perchance you'd announced a pregnancy, then decided I was crazy. I scoured back through them again after reading this one. :) I was sure you were referring to pregnancy as you described how you feel these days...I am 12 weeks along today and desparately hoping to feel better very soon. (Both my previous pregancies took until 20 weeks to stop the "morning sickness".)
My husband pitches in a LOT, too --he helps with the kids, cleaning and meals; I don't know how I got one so good, but I sure plan to keep him!
Congratulations, again!
