Complain, Complain, Complain

It's all I've done for the past week or so. Continually. At least in my head.

I don't mind winter and mounds of snow, but I hate it during my birthday-week. And I especially hate it covering the exposed buds of tree leaves, tulip heads and daffodil flowers. This year I was more than usually excited about my tulips coming up as I had planted two large boxes bought in Amsterdam. I was going to take pictures so I knew where I could plant more in the fall.

Now I just want to hole up inside with my coffee and my near-finished very long novel and not come out until June.

Boo. Hiss.

Today would be a good day to hole up inside. Watching the snow pile up inch by inch, when we were told we were not going to hardly get any. blah on snow on your birthday week. What were the clouds thinking?!?

HA! Jerk clouds.

I heard about the snow in the Chicago area, and was wondering if you guys got it, too. Boo hissy! See? You need to take a holiday and come to Vancouver! It's nice and warm here! :D

Maybe you could pull a Tim the Toolman Taylor on your blowdryer (more power, argh argh argh) and have the only yard with no snow? No? Not such a good plan?

Ah well, sending you warm thoughts, anyway...

I wouldn't know how to react to all that snow. We consider ourselves "lucky" to get an inch each winter. The schools close and even the adults scrape the ground for enough snow to throw that one snowball of the year! Ha!

Jerk Clouds! Devil Clouds! Birthday-ruining clouds!

What DAY is your birthday?!?!

Hills, I don't know about the hair dryer thing, but my husband's bright idea is to have everyone start a bonfire on the same day...that would solve everything.

Stacey, I don't think we can be friends anymore. :)That or I need to move to TN.

Saturday is my day. And it had BETTER be nice out!!

I can't believe how much snow ya'll are still getting! Global warming sure is hitting you hard, eh? But, just to rub it in a little, it's sunny and 70 here in Little Rock ;) Oh and I am going out after work today to mow my yard.. for the SECOND time already this spring!

We're not friends anymore either.

We didn't get much snow, but it seems that it got cold enough to zap my daffodils :( no more blooming bulbs this year.

A huge bonfire??? That solves EVERYTHIGN! Besides, who needs an excuse for multiple heaps of blazing flames? Not me, that's for sure!

Daffodils are definitely out. But I've heard that it's ok on the tulips...I guess we'll see.

Hills....don't encourage him. Please.
