Need Some Help Here

Ok folks, the time has come for another of the "You Recommend" posts.

If one were to purchase only three CDs this season (excluding the new Switchfoot album that will be purchased first thing on the day after Christmas) what CDs would one purchase?

They need not necessarily be brand new albums. Just your top three ever. Or current. Cuz, I have some old ones, but do need some new.

Thanks as always for the help.

I've been listening to KT Tunstall's album: Eye to the Telescope and North Point Live's album with various artists on it. That's about as much help as I can offer...

Garden State Soundtrack, Last Kiss Soundtrack, and All American Rejects. They are all pretty good.

No particular order:
truth, soul, rock & roll by The Elms. They have a newer one, haven't heard it, most likely it's a winner though.

Don't Wait by Adie Camp. Fairly new release. Ever hear a band called The Benjamin Gate? They're gone; she's back.

Matt Mays & El Torpedo, (self-titled). Only heard a couple from this album but "on my list."

Speaking of my list, I'd be remiss if I didn't include the secret life of... by The Veronicas, an album which I have no business liking but can't seem to stop playing. On the plus side I've turned this inexplicable musical mind-virus into subject matter for several blog posts, so - there is that.

Do you listen to country? Not sure.. but if you do:
1. Dierks Bentley - Long Trip Alone
2. Miranda Lambert- Kerosene
3. Brad Paisley - Time Well Wasted

Those are three of my faves right now

KT is cool stuff. at least the tracks i've heard are. garden state is a great album, but we already have it. anyone else reading this post that doesn't have it had better go get it. or illegaly download it at least.

hey, if zach braff can win an oscar by compiling other peoples music than you can't feel bad about pirating a copy now can you...???

benjamin gate was from south africa i think. that's cool.

not a country listener, but i have a friend that looks a lot like dierks bently. does that count for something?

Andy, normally I would say that doesn't count even remotely, but for you I'll give total credit. I am just proud you have heard of Dierks Bentley ;)

Anything by David Gray - though White Ladder is my favorite.
Songs for Christmas - Sufjan Stevens (a 5-disc [I believe] box set for under $20). Burlap to Cashmere. Bebo Norman. The Fray.
Wintersong - Sarah Maclachlan. Continuum - John Mayer.

I have to recommend my fellow stay-at-home-mommer Sarah McLachlan's "Wintersong". Dan got a copy from Bill Search and made the mistake of leaving it in my mini van...he's never getting it back.
