How to Lose More Than a Pound a Day (And Feel Horrible Doing It)

Sorry for the lack of blogging lately folks. I know you've been wondering if I'm dead or alive.

I'm only mostly dead.

But fortunately, that means I'm slightly alive.

Apparently this horrible flu has been going around town and it really knocked me out. Hard. Ugh, I don't think I've ever felt so terrible. I usually only get colds so this was a doozy for me. I'll spare you the details.

Needless to say, I haven't gotten anything done on anything. Very disappointing. I did read a bit and watch a few movies. But mostly sleeping.

Hopefully this week I'll get my strength back and feel more productive. I need to start eating though. It's weird to not be hungry for so long. I'm always hungry. I've been craving fruit lately.

I'm going for a walk this morning. I need to get out of this house for a little bit. But not too close to anyone as I don't want to contaminate them. No one deserves this.

We'll be back to our regular scheduled programming soon enough.

Anyone have any questions? I haven't plumbed the depths of my endless knowledge in a while. Anyway, it's good to see you all again.

:)

I'm glad to hear more than a one word sentence out of you. :) That tells me that you're feeling an eensy weensy better. How was your walk? Today would be a good day to lay in your hammock. And don't worry about dinner tonight. I'll be bringing something over for Andy (and you if you're hungry) to eat. I'll be there around 6:45.

Hi Annie Poo! Sorry to hear you are sick :( That's no fun at all. But at least it was after you quit working so you don't have to worry about that and can just relax and get better.
So you are wanting more questions, eh? Hmm... ok, how bout this one? Why do we park on driveways and drive on parkways? I know it's dumb, but there's gotta be some kinda weird reason about where those words came from that caused the confusion! So to you, Anne, I entrust this quest to solve a great mystery in our muddled English language :)

I hope you're feeling better! Deep inside, I'm glad that I'm 6 blocks away...I don't think the germs could get to me. But I'm not worried if they do...I ate a lot of leftovers as a kid and thus have developed fabulous antibodies. They would protect me. So, on second thought, come on over! :)

Boo - where did my comment go? hmph. here goes again:

Anne - glad to know you're alive! We missed you yesterday, but you would be glad to know that your band rocked the hizzy - they did a great job! continue to take it easy - don't push yourself too much too fast. keep drinking your water and eat something green! :)

~Jean, my walk was lovely. Not very long as I got tired pretty quickly, but it was nice to get out a bit.
And you are too sweet to bring us dinner!!! Thank you! Andy has been doing all the cooking lately and he will very much appreciate it!

~Shawn, thanks...that's a really tough one. You might have to give me a little bit of time. But I'm totally on it! :)

~Beth, I think you are safe. And I wasn't aware that leftovers increased your immunity...that's very curious. I have always eaten leftovers. I guess I just depends on how long they've been left over and whether they've grown their own form of penicillin yet?

~Heather, I was so sad to have missed being with you guys and my band. I love them so much. That is one of the most fun days of the year. Not to mention that I really did miss a good three days of work. Sad. But I'm so glad they did well and you had lots of fun!!

Not fun to get the flu when you finally stop working so much!! Glad to hear you're feeling better. I just asked an extremely important question on the ethnic roots of apple pie. So...while you're craving fruit you can do some research on it. Thanks!!!

Ick - the flu is no good! I knew something was up if you weren't even in church on Sunday! Glad you are feeling better!
Your post made me think of Monty Python - I'm not quite dead yet - I'm feeling better.

Apparently, Michelle, it was Lori's fault. She even admitted as such. Scott got it next. Ugh. I've been sleeping in the spare room so hubby doesn't get it. I think he'll be ok.

And I was actually aiming for Princess Bride. The Miracle Max scene. Love that guy...

Get well soon. Flu's are sooo devastating.

Sooooo, how do they get the caramel into the caramilk bars? ;-) Those commercials were always funny.

the leftovers thing is just a personal theory...one of these days I'll write about it. It's quite interesting, really... :)

Get some fresh air, that will help a ton. I hope you are feeling better than a shade of death very very soon.
