Boo...Hiss...

I am getting sick. I officially have a runny nose and a sore throat. I would rather not be sick, but I don't believe I am going to be able to avoid it. A girl can always use a day off of work though.

Maybe I should be sick on Friday. That's a really good day to be sick.

Planning on making a pizza for dinner tonight. No, not taking a pizza out of the freezer and putting it in the oven. Actually selecting my own toppings, and making a crust and all the pizza-type things that go into pizza-ing.

We'll see how that goes. This will be my first pizza-ing attempt. Usually I am pretty well able to make about any recipe, but pizza is pretty tricky. I think. It could also be really easy. But the plan is to tell the hubby how very difficult it was and come out with this ultimate amazing pizza and get a good backrub out of the deal.

That's the plan.

I bet if you show your sad eyes and cough here and there, he'll give you a no-strings back rub just b/c he feels so sad for you. :(

Enjoy your pizza! :)

He just might. I am really good at those sad eyes.

Hope you enjoy your pizza! We love making our crust in our bread maker...it has a dough setting on it that works great (but that takes 2 hrs.). Have you ever tried using the different flavored flatbreads they sell at the grocery store? I had that the other day with artichoke heart quarters (and other ingredients) on it and it was delicious! Not near as filling as regular pizza crust! Enjoy!
I'm sorry you're sick!
P.S. My hubby's coming home tomorrow!!! :) We're through the roof EXCITED!!!!!!! :)

Becky--I'm sure you're completely exstatic!! YAY! How long has he been gone?

Flatbread sounds really good for a pizza crust. I do really like thin-crust pizza. Excellent suggestion...I may just have to try it sometime soon. I may never order pizza or buy frozen ones again!!!
Ok, that's not even remotely true.

He's only been gone 3 weeks this time. But he'll be home for 3 weeks now and then gone again for 3 mos. to a location that I will only get to talk to him 2x a week for 15 miinutes...and yes, they do time you...a little voice chimes in and says, "You have 2 mins. remaining"...and so on. I heard it some on this trip. But fortunately it was only for a few days. Ah, such is the life of a military wife! :) But I wouldn't trade it...my hubby is happy doing what he loves!

How'd the pizza go?? We love making pizza in our house ...would you think me crazy if I told you our favorite is tofu feta pizza? :) mmmmm...

Well Heather, I wouldn't be surprised at all...and that is one of the things I forgot to get for my pizza last night--feta. Oooohh,I love feta. :)

I know Jean, I know. I have a stellar-looking spinach pizza in the freezer right now. Wanna come over?

Beck, you are a very strong woman. I get all bent out of shape when my hubby is gone for two weeks. And at least you do have your sweet Hannah. :) I'm sure she keeps you busy enough to help the time fly by! You really should come visit one time while he's gone. We would be happy to keep you from being lonely! Though I won't promise to snuggle... ; )

When I'm lazy and don't want pizza from store but don't want to make the dough I use pita bread. I put all the toppings and then into the oven until all warmed up and cheese melted. Then I feel like I'm awesome cuz I made healthy pizza from "scratch". ha ha ha.

Hope you are felling better soon.

My brother asked me last night if I made it all from scratch and I just said, "sorta..." :)

Its Friday and Anne is nowhere to be found at work. Its amazing how you can predict these things. Is there anything you can't do?

Nope. I'm pretty amazing.

Me and my snuffles stayed in bed this morning. Snuffles is still following me around. I think he needs to leave.
