Halloween '07

Tonight was the third annual Shaun of the Dead Halloween movie-watching. We decided to make a party out of it.

In spite of the rain, there were still plenty of trick-or-treaters and the full-to-the-brim cauldron now has only a small layer of "the good stuff."

A few costumes for your viewing pleasure. Who do you think won best costume?

A fabulous dread pirate.

College Student. Always a clever cover for "no costume, thanks."

The "great pumpkin" and her pumpkin farmer.

Buckethead guy. Now really, who can top this creativity?

And of course, the monk and his pregnant nun. What's that you say? You want a close-up of the pregnant nun? Anything for you, dear internet.

Pregnant nun* at 31 weeks.

I also made a Monster Cake for the occasion...He turned out pretty well for the time I had. Really now, I don't know how they make these as perfectly as they look in the pictures.

And since it is now 12:02 am, this is officially my first NaBloPoMo post!! If you haven't signed up yet, you'd better get on it. Happy November everyone!

*Please no offense to any actual nuns or Catholics...

Now that second one must be Nate - I recognize the "pez-dispenser" pose. Does he always look like that? ;)

These are so funny--everyone's costumes are great and made me laugh. You are all winners!

That college student looks *so* real...

I did end up giving the prize bag to Jen! (I get the bucket of candy at the end of the night, so it wouldn't have been fair to claim it for myself!?) She had the pirate-y accent to go along with her costume!

RJ, he was real. :)

O JEALOUSY! You had a Halloween party, and it looked so fun! With costumes! And prizes! And SHAUN OF THE DEAD! We watched a zombie movie, too, but it wasn't funny, though it was still good (28 Days Later). Anywho. Your evening sounds like it was delightful and delish, Annoo.

Hey Kelly Belly Boo!! So good to hear from you!

And I did also like 28 Days Later...scary, but not TOO scary...though SOTD is by far the best!

Heather...I'm sad I didn't get a picture of you as Natty...It was so perfect! And just you wait, that movie gets funnier every time, so next year...

We did a monster movie night last weekend as well! It was alot of fun, but the movies were so cheesy!

Kassi, did you get The Blob in? Because that one is a classic!! Nothing scarier than a huge mound of raspberry jelly.

A couple years ago we watched that with Young Frankenstein--another of my favorites!

I won that contest handily, HANDILY I say. Judges were biased.

Well Dude, you were also way late. Past judging time.
